In Monday night NBA action, the Portland Trail Blazers will travel to Little Caesars Arena to take on the Detroit Pistons. This will be the second of a back-to-back on the road for Portland, who trailed by 21 points during yesterday’s 129-98 loss against Indiana. The Trail Blazers (26-44) turned the ball over 18 times and allowed the Pacers to shoot 57 percent from the field.
Portland J Josh Hart tallied a game-high 26 points on an 11-for-13 shooting performance. Trendon Watford added 17 points and eight rebounds in a losing effort for the Trail Blazers.
The Detroit Pistons are 12 games below .500 at home and own the second worst overall record in the East. On Saturday, Detroit was unable to make the plays down the stretch of a 113-109 road loss against Cleveland. The Pistons (19-52) were outscored 64-54 in the paint and allowed the Cavaliers to shoot 51 percent from the field.
Detroit F Jerami Grant nailed 7-for-9 from the three-point line and finished with a game-high 40 points. Cade Cunningham added 15 points, ten assists, and six rebounds for the Pistons.
