The Toyota Center will play host to a Thursday night NBA clash between the Detroit Pistons and Houston Rockets. With just 11 games remaining, the Pistons are 5.5 games behind Milwaukee for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. On Tuesday, Detroit exploded for 71 points during the second half of a 115-88 road triumph over Phoenix. The Pistons forced 19 turnovers and limited the Suns to just 38 percent from the field.

Blake Griffin led the way for Detroit with 26 points, 10 assists, and nine rebounds. All-Star C Andre Drummond chipped in 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Pistons. The Houston Rockets are tied with Toronto for the fewest home losses in the NBA this season and are 43 games above .500 overall. With 11 games remaining on their schedule, the Rockets lead Golden State by four games for the best record in the league. On Tuesday, Houston made the plays down the stretch of a 115-111 road victory against Portland. The Rockets connected on 19-for-36 from long range and shot 48 percent overall.

MVP front runner James Harden poured in a game high 42 points on 13-for-25 from the field. Chris Paul contributed 22 points, eight rebounds, and six assists for the Rockets.

Houston G Chris Paul aggravated his left hamstring in the closing seconds of Tuesday’s victory and is listed as day-to-day. The Rockets are by far the more efficient offensive squad, but the Pistons are close in all other categories. Take Detroit to keep things close on Thursday. Final Score Prediction, Houston Rockets win but fall short ATS 109-105.
