Last Updated: 02/02/2021 at 9:09 AM ET

In Tuesday night NBA action, the Detroit Pistons will travel to Vivint Arena to take on the Utah Jazz. Last night, Detroit had their game at Denver postponed minutes before tip-off due to a positive/inconclusive COVID-19 test. Last time out, Detroit trailed by 12 points after one quarter and never recovered during a 118-91 road loss against Golden State.

Detroit F Jerami Grant tallied a team-high 18 points on 5-for-8 from the field and finished with a minus 22 rating. The rest of the starters combined for just 18 points on 5-for-23 shooting.

The Utah Jazz rank first in the league in rebounding (49.4 rpg) and trail the Los Angeles Clippers by a half-game for the best record in the Western Conference. On Sunday, Utah had their winning streak snapped at 11 games during a 128-117 road loss against Denver. The Jazz (15-5) won the battle on the boards by a 49-43 margin, but allowed the Nuggets to shoot 54 percent from the field.

All five Utah starters scored in double figures and were led by Bojan Bogdanovic with 29 points. Rudy Gobert added 12 points and eight rebounds in a losing effort for the Jazz.

Detroit rookie G Killian Hayes (hip) will not require surgery and will be re-evaluated in eight weeks. The Jazz are better in most major statistical categories and will have no problem disposing of the Pistons. Final Score Prediction, Utah Jazz win and cover ATS 120-104.
