The Friday NBA schedule will tip-off with a matchup between the Detroit Pistons and the Charlotte Hornets from the Spectrum Center. The Pistons have lost eight of their first 12 games and rank last in the league in rebounding. On Tuesday, Detroit trailed by 22 points at halftime of a 117-108 road loss against Miami. On Wednesday, Charlotte fell victim to a Ja Morant layup with 0.7 seconds remaining during a 119-117 home loss versus Memphis. The Hornets were outrebounded by a 50-44 margin and allowed the Grizzlies to shoot 53 percent from the field.

Charlotte G Terry Rozier led all scorers with 33 points on a 13-for-21 shooting performance. Malik Monk contributed 20 points and eight rebounds in 29 minutes off the bench.
