On Saturday, Washington was unable to make the plays down the stretch of a 128-124 home loss versus Miami. The Wizards (2-8) were dominated on the glass by a 67-48 margin and connected on 15-for-40 from long distance.

Garrison Matthews led six Washington players in double figures with 22 points in just 23 minutes off the bench. Deni Avdija added 20 points and five rebounds in a losing effort for the Wizards.
