Phoenix Suns at Toronto Raptors 12/30/22 - NBA Picks & Predictions

In Friday night NBA action, the Phoenix Suns will travel to Scotiabank Arena to tangle with the Toronto Raptors. The Suns (20-16) have dropped 11 of their first 16 road games and rank fourth in the league offensive efficiency. On Wednesday, Phoenix was outscored by 16 points during the fourth quarter of a 127-102 road loss against Washington.

Phoenix C Deandre Ayton tallied a game-high 31 points on a 14-for-22 shooting performance and grabbed seven rebounds. Veteran G Chris Paul added 20 points and six assists for the Suns, who allowed the Wizards to shoot a sizzling 57 percent from the field.

The Toronto Raptors are two games above .500 at home and trail Chicago by a half-game for tenth place in the Eastern Conference standings. Last night, Toronto trailed by ten points after one quarter and never could recover during a 119-106 home loss versus Memphis. The Raptors (15-20) allowed the Grizzlies to shoot 51 percent from the field and trailed by as many as 23 points.

Alll-Star F Pascal Siakam matched a game-high with 25 points on 8-for-19 shooting and pulled down ten boards. Gary Trent Jr. scored 20 points (7-13 FG) in 32 minutes off the bench. Scottie Barnes added 14 points and ten rebounds in a losing effort for the Raptors.

Phoenix G Devin Booker has been shut down with a left groin strain and will be re-evaluated in four weeks. The Suns play at the fourth slowest tempo and are missing their top scorer. Look for the Raptors to win a game that stays under the total. Final Score Prediction, Toronto Raptors win 110-108.
