The Phoenix Suns open the preseason on the road Monday night at the Golden 1 Center to take on the Sacramento Kings. Phoenix comes into season following four straight losses to lose the NBA Finals a year ago. Devin Booker will again lead the phoenix young core this season, while veteran Chris Paul will again be in the backcourt for phoenix after signing a new contract this offseason.

Phoenix returns most of the production from a year ago and will look to build off of last season heading into this year. The phoenix starters will have no issue controlling this game throughout before passing it off to the role players against a lackluster Sacramento team.

Sacramento Kings opened the preseason Monday night at home looking to build off a mediocre at best 2020-2021 season. The Sacramento Kings have a young core ready to make their name within the NBA. Sacramento added the college defensive player of the year in Davion Mitchell as well as former NBA champion Tristan Thompson in the offense to bulk the Sacramento defensive unit.

De’Arron Fox is expected to have a breakout year leading the Sacramento Kings with the hopes of making the playoffs this season. Sharpshooter Buddy Hield and second year guard Tyrese Haliburton will supply a lot of the offensive help for the Sacramento Kings. Marvin Bagley III will build off a successful season a year ago playing alongside Tristan Thompson growing into an inside presence.

The Phoenix Suns come into this game with a bad taste in their mouth still after losing the 2021 NBA Finals. Look for the Suns to control this game throughout as their starters will play spurt minutes. Phoenix is the better team and will control this game against a lack luster Sacramento team on Monday.
