The Western Conference Finals will shift to Staples Center on Thursday night for Game Three between the Phoenix Suns and the LA Clippers. The second-seeded Suns won 24 of their 36 road games during the regular season and are looking to advance to the NBA Finals for the first time since 1993. In Game Two, Deandre Ayton’s alley-oop dunk as time expired lifted Phoenix to a dramatic 104-103 home victory.

Phoenix G Cameron Payne led all scorers with 29 points on 12-for-24 from the field and dished out nine assists. Ayton contributed 24 points and 14 rebounds for the Suns.

The LA Clippers won 26 of their 36 home games during the regular season and are facing a 2-0 deficit in this best-of-seven series. On Tuesday, Paul George missed two free throws with 8.2 seconds remaining and the Clippers leading by one point. LA connected on 13-for-34 from the three-point line and shot 45 percent overall.

All-Star F Paul George led LA with 26 points to go along with six rebounds and six assists. Ivica Zubac added 14 points and 11 rebounds for the Clippers.

LA F Kawhi Leonard (knee) missed the first two games of this series and his status for this contest is uncertain. Phoenix G Chris Paul (COVID-19) has been symptom free and hopes to play on Thursday.
