Last Updated: 02/06/2023 at 10:15 PM ET

In the first game of a Tuesday night NBA on TNT doubleheader, the Phoenix Suns will travel to the Barclays Center to take on the Brooklyn Nets. The Suns (29-26) have won eight of their last ten games and trail LA by a half-game for fourth place in the Western Conference standings. On Saturday, Phoenix outscored Detroit in each quarter of a 116-100 road triumph.

Phoenix C Deandre Ayton led all scorers with 31 points on a 13-for-15 shooting performance and grabbed 16 rebounds. Mikal Bridges scored 24 points on 9-for-15 shooting in 35 minutes of action. Veteran G Chris Paul dished out 14 assists for the Suns, who shot a sizzling 56 percent overall.

The Brooklyn Nets dealt All-Star G Kyrie Irving to Dallas on Sunday and could potentially move All-Star F Kevin Durant ahead of Thursday's NBA trade deadline. Last night, Brooklyn was unable to make the plays down the stretch of a 124-116 home loss versus LA. The Nets (32-21) led by four points with less than four minutes remaining and nailed 16-for-31 from the three-point line.

Brooklyn G Cam Thomas connected on 7-for-11 from beyond the arc and finished with a game-high 47 points. Edmond Sumner scored 23 points on 9-for-17 shooting and pulled down five boards. Nic Claxton added 15 points, 16 rebounds, and three blocks for the Nets.

Phoenix G Devin Booker has been sidelined since late December with a groin injury and is expected to suit up for this contest. These two teams rank in the top ten in defensive efficiency, so the under is worth a look. The stronger play is on the Suns to cover on the road. Final Score Prediction, Phoenix Suns win 114-103.
