Philadelphia 76ers at Atlanta Hawks 6/11/21 - NBA Picks & Predictions

In the first game of a Friday night NBA on ESPN playoff doubleheader, the Philadelphia 76ers will travel to State Farm Arena to take on the Atlanta Hawks. The top-seeded 76ers dropped the series opener at home, but bounced back to score a 118-102 victory on Tuesday night. Philadelphia assisted on 29 of their 46 made field goals and shot 53 percent overall.

All-Star C Joel Embiid exploded for a game-high 40 points on 13-for-25 shooting and grabbed 13 rebounds. Tobias Harris chipped in 22 points and six rebounds for the 76ers.

The Atlanta Hawks won 25 of their 36 home games during the regular season and have been one of the hottest teams in the league since interim head coach Nate McMillan took over. In Game Two, Atlanta erased a 13-point deficit after one quarter before being outscored by 14 points in the second half. The Hawks won the rebounding battle by a 45-37 margin, but turned the ball over 18 times in defeat.

Trae Young and Danilo Gallinari led Atlanta with 21 points apiece on a combined 13-for-31 from the field. Bogdan Bogdanovic added 14 points and seven rebounds for the Hawks.

Atlanta F De’Andre Hunter will miss the remainder of the postseason with a torn meniscus. The Hawks have no answer for Embiid in the post and the 76ers have figured things out against Trae Young. Take Philadelphia to win on the road and take a 2-1 series lead. Final Score Prediction, Philadelphia 76ers win 115-109.
