The New Orleans Pelicans look to snap a two-game losing streak when they visit the Phoenix Suns on Friday. The Pelicans were defeated in their most recent outing by the Charlotte Hornets 115-109 on Wednesday. Julius Randle led the Pelicans in the loss with 34 points and 11 rebounds. The loss was New Orleans’ fifth in its last six.

Phoenix lost its seventh game in its last eight after falling to the Utah Jazz 118-97 on Wednesday. Even more troublesome for Phoenix was an injury to team-high scorer Devin Booker, who came down awkwardly on his ankle early in the game and did not return. Sources say that Booker will sit out the last three games of the season for the Suns. Anthony Davis is leading the Pelicans in scoring, rebounding and blocks with averages of 25.9 points, 12.0 rebounds and 2.4 blocks per game. Jrue Holiday is leading the team in assists with an average of 7.7 per game, but is lost for the season with an injury. New Orleans is shooting 47.3% from the field and 34.2% from three-point territory.

Devin Booker is leading the Suns in scoring and assists with averages of 26.6 points and 6.8 assists per game, while Deandre Ayton is the leading rebounder with an average of 10.3 per game. Phoenix is shooting 45.9% from the field and 32.8% from three-point territory.

Phoenix will be without its top scorer Devin Booker who injured his ankle. While New Orleans is without star Anthony Davis, the Pelicans have a much deeper roster and have become accustomed to playing without Davis as his minutes have been limited by management. New Orleans has covered the number in each of the last 5 visits to Phoenix and 6 of the last 7 meetings overall with the Suns. Final Score Prediction, New Orleans Pelicans win and cover ATS 123-112.
