In the second game of an NBA on TNT Thursday night doubleheader, the New Orleans Pelicans will visit the Phoenix Suns. The Pelicans are playing without number one overall draft pick Zion Williamson (knee) and have lost nine of their first 14 games. On Tuesday, New Orleans spoiled Carmelo Anthony’s Portland debut during a 115-104 home victory.

The Pelicans outscored the Trail Blazers by ten points during the third quarter and outrebounded them by five. Jrue Holiday led New Orleans with 22 points on 10-for-18 shooting and dished out ten assists.

The Phoenix Suns have dropped consecutive games and come into play on Thursday at a game below .500 overall. On Tuesday, Phoenix was unable to slow down Bogdan Bogdanovic (31 points) during a 1201-116 road loss against Sacramento. The Suns were outscored by 14 points over the first 12 minutes and shot just 43 percent from the field overall.

Devin Booker led five Phoenix players in double figures with 30 points and eight assists. Kelly Oubre Jr. added 20 points and eight rebounds in a losing effort for the Suns.

Phoenix C Aron Baynes (right hip contusion) did not play on Tuesday and is listed as questionable for this matchup. The Suns have been struggling as of late and should be faded on Thursday.
