In Saturday night NBA action, the Indiana Pacers will invade the FedEx Forum to take on the Memphis Grizzlies. The Pacers have won three straight games, but have lost All-Star G Victor Oladipo for the season with a ruptured quad tendon in his right knee. On Wednesday, Indiana managed to hold on down the stretch for a 110-106 home victory versus Toronto. The Pacers limited the Raptors to 41 percent shooting on the night.
Thaddeus Young led six Indiana players in double figures with 23 points and 15 rebounds. Darren Collison contributed 17 points and eight assists for the Pacers.
The Memphis Grizzlies are a franchise at a crossroads, facing the difficult decision to potentially trade away veteran players Mike Conley and Marc Gasol. Last night, Memphis fell eight games out of playoff contention after a 99-96 home loss versus Sacramento. The Grizzlies turned the ball over 16 times and shot 43 percent from the field.
Omri Casspi tallied a team high 18 points on 8-for-11 shooting in 25 minutes off the Memphis bench. Mike Conley added 16 points and nine assists in a losing effort for the Grizzlies.
