In the first game of a Monday NBA TV doubleheader, the Orlando Magic will travel to the World’s Most Famous Arena to take on the New York Knicks. The Magic (0-3) drafted Paolo Banchero with the number one overall draft pick and are hoping to turn the corner for second year head coach Jamahl Mosley. On Saturday, Orlando had no answer for All-Star F Jayson Tatum (40 points) during a 126-120 home loss versus Boston.

All five Orlando starters scored in double figures and were led by Terrence Ross with 29 points on 11-for-16 shooting. Paolo Banchero added 23 points (6-19 FG) and five rebounds for the Magic, who outrebounded the Celtics by a 48-37 margin.

The New York Knicks failed in their attempt for consecutive playoff appearances and signed PG Jalen Brunson to a hefty contract (4 yr, $104 mil) in the offseason to turn things around. On Friday, Brunson made a successful home debut with 17 points and six assists during a 130-106 victory versus Detroit. The Knicks (1-1) assisted on 29 of their 50 made field goals and shot 53 percent overall.

Immanuel Quickley led six New York players in double figures with 20 points and seven assists off the bench. Veteran G Derrick Rose needed just 16 minutes to post a statline of 13 points and six assists for the Knicks, who led by 20 points at halftime.
