The Cleveland Cavaliers acquired All-Star G Donovan Mitchell in an offseason trade with Utah and have the talent to contend in the Eastern Conference. On Sunday, Cleveland limited visiting Washington to four points during the overtime period of a 117-107 victory. The Cavaliers (2-1) outrebounded the Wizards by a 48-35 margin and converted 22 of 25 from the free-throw line.

Cleveland G Donovan Mitchell poured in a game-high 37 points on 12-for-29 from the field and pulled down five boards. Jarrett Allen contributed 15 points and 14 rebounds for the Cavaliers, who converted  20 turnovers into 28 points.
