Oklahoma City Thunder at San Antonio Spurs 10/13/22 - NBA Picks & Predictions

In Thursday night NBA action, the Oklahoma City Thunder will take on the San Antonio Spurs from the AT&T Center. The Thunder (24-58) have stockpiled draft picks and lost number two overall draft pick Chet Holmgren to a season ending foot injury. On Tuesday, Oklahoma City outscored Detroit by 19 points during the second half of a 115-99 road victory.

Jalen Williams, Lu Dort, and Josh Giddey scored 16 points apiece to pace the Oklahoma City scoring attack. Darius Bazley contributed 15 points and eight rebounds off the bench for the Thunder.

The San Antonio Spurs finished tenth in the Western Conference standings and started an official rebuild by trading Dejounte Murray to Atlanta in the offseason. On Tuesday, San Antonio raced out to a 13-point lead after one quarter and cruised to a 111-104 road victory against Utah. The Spurs (34-48) shot 48 percent from the field and led by as many as 27 points.

San Antonio G Devin Vassell tallied a game-high 24 points on 10-for-15 from the field. Keldon Johnson added 22 points and five rebounds in 22 minutes for the Spurs.

Detroit F Marvin Bagley suffered a sprained MCL in his right knee and will miss the next 3-4 weeks. Both teams feature plenty of young players and that means the tempo will be fast. Look for San Antonio to win a game that goes over the total. Final Score Prediction, San Antonio Spurs win 117-112.
