Oklahoma City Thunder at Dallas Mavericks 1/17/22 - NBA Picks & Predictions

The Oklahoma City Thunder will end a short homestand on Monday night with a visit to the American Airlines Center in Dallas, TX to take on the Dallas Mavericks. Oklahoma City is struggling this season 14-28 on the year after losing four of the last five games played including a five point loss to Cleveland last game out. 

Offensively Oklahoma City was abysmal against Cleveland shooting only 43.4% from the floor and turned the ball over 16 times in a losing effort. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led all scorers for Oklahoma City with 21 points and seven assists on 7 of 19 shooting in 34 minutes on the floor. Luguentz Dort added 17 points in 29 minutes and Darius Bazley added a team high 17 points in 28 minutes off the bench. 

The Dallas Mavericks come into Monday night rolling as of late winners of four of the last five games play including a 16 point blowout of Orlando. Perennial All Star Luka Doncic was the leading scorer for Dallas against Orlando with 23 points on 7 of 19 shooting despite playing only 31 minutes. Jalen Brunson and Krostaps Porzingis added a second best 19 points each and Tim Hardaway Jr. led the way off the bench with 17 points on four of 13 shooting. 

Luka Doncic is the top scorer in the Dallas offense averaging 24.7 points per game to go along with a team leading 8.7 rebounds. Kristaps Porzingis is second on the team in scoring averaging 20.5 points per game and point guard Jalen Brunson chips in with 16 points and 5.6 assists as well.
