Nuggets at Jazz 2/5/20 - NBA Picks & Predictions

On Wednesday, the top two teams in the Northwest division face off when the Denver Nuggets visit the Utah Jazz. Denver will be playing the second half of a back-to-back after hosting the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday before heading off to Utah. The Nuggets fell to 34-16 following a 128-123 loss to the Detroit Pistons in overtime on Sunday. Denver leads the Northwest division by 1 ½ games over the Jazz.

Nikola Jokic leads Denver in scoring, rebounding and assists with averages of 20.2 points, 10.0 rebounds and  6.7 assists per game.The second leading active scorer for Denver is Will Barton with an average of 15.1 points per game and six players for the Nuggets are averaging double figures in scoring .

Utah looks to snap a four-game losing streak when hosting the Nuggets on Wednesday. The Jazz fell to 32-17 overall following their 124-107 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday. Donovan Mitchell led the Jazz in the loss with 25 points. Mike Conley started for the first time for the Jazz since the middle of December as he's been coming off the bench after returning from a hamstring injury.

Donovan Mitchell is the leading scorer for Utah with an average of 24.6 points per game, while Rudy Gobert is the second leading scorer and leading rebounder with averages of 15.6 points and 14.5 rebounds per game. Joe Ingles is the leader in assists with an average of 5.0 per game.

Utah is in a tailspin at this point after losing each of its last four straight up and ATS. However, the Jazz will have a slight advantage playing on their home court against the Nuggets who will be coming off a game the previous night against the Portland Trail Blazers. Denver has not played that much better than Utah going 2-2 SU and ATS over the last four. Final Score Prediction, Utah Jazz win and cover ATS 112-103.
