In Monday night NBA action, te Denver Nuggets will invade FedEx Forum to battle the Memphis Grizzlies.
The Nuggets have won consecutive games and trail Golden State by 1.5 games for the top spot in the Western Conference. On Saturday, Denver took advantage of a banged up Philadelphia squad to score an easy 126-110 home victory. The Nuggets out-rebounded the 76ers by a 65-48 margin and shot 51 percent from the floor.
Nikola Jokic returned from a one-game suspension to lead Denver with 32 points, 18 rebounds, and ten assists. Mason Plumlee chipped in 17 points and six rebounds off the bench.
The Memphis Grizzlies are ten games below .500 overall and are moving towards rebuilding as a franchise behind rookie F Jaren Jackson. On Saturday, Memphis snapped an eight-game losing streak with a 106-103 home victory versus Indiana. The Grizzlies forced 18 turnovers and shot 49 percent from the field on the night.
Mike Conley led all scorers with 22 points on 8-for-13 shooting and dished out 11 assists. Jaren Jackson contributed 20 points and six rebounds for the Grizzlies.
