The Saturday night NBA schedule will tip-off with a matinee between the Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Clippers from Staples Center.
The Nuggets have won four straight games and rank third in the league in scoring defense. On Tuesday, Denver scored 74 points during the first half of a 126-118 home victory versus Dallas. The Nuggets outrebounded the Mavericks by a 55-42 margin and shot 56 percent overall.
Denver C Nikola Jokic led all scorers with 32 points on 13-for-25 shooting and pulled down 16 rebounds. Jamal Murray contributed 22 points and a career best 15 assists.
The Los Angeles Clippers have won 10 of their 14 home games so far this season and are currently tied for fifth place in the Western Conference standings. On Thursday, Los Angeles built an 11-point halftime lead and managed to hold on for a 125-121 home victory versus Dallas. The Clippers were outrebounded by nine, but shot a superb 57 percent overall.
Los Angeles F Danilo Gallinari matched a game high with 32 points on an 11-for-16 shooting performance. Tobias Harris chipped in 16 points and nine rebounds for the Clippers.
