New Orleans Pelicans at LA Clippers 10/30/22 - NBA Picks & Predictions

The Sunday NBA schedule will tip-off with a matinee between the New Orleans Pelicans and the LA Clippers from Crypto.com Arena. The Pelicans (3-2) rank third in the league in offensive efficiency and are scoring 119.8 points per game. On Friday, New Orleans allowed Phoenix to shoot 52 percent from the field during a 124-111 road loss.

All five New Orleans starters scored in double figures and were led by Jonas Valanciunas with 25 points on 11-for-16 from the field. C.J. McCollum added 17 points and nine assists for the Pelicans, who were outrebounded by a 47-33 margin.

The LA Clippers have the talent to contend in the Western Conference, if they can keep Paul George and Kawhi Leonard healthy. The Clippers (2-3) limp into this contest trying to snap a three-game skid and only the Lakers rank worst in offensive efficiency. On Friday, LA was outscored by 15 points during the second half of a 118-110 road loss against Oklahoma City.

Normal Powell led six LA players in double figures with 21 points on 9-for-15 shooting. Veteran G John Wall added 17 points and six assists off the bench for the Clippers, who shot 54 percent from the field in defeat.

New Orleans F Zion Williamson (hip) is listed as questionable and F Brandon Ingram (concussion) will remain sidelined for this game. The Pelicans are the better offensive team and have an edge on the glass. The Clippers are the more desperate bunch and will win at home. Final Score Prediction, LA Clippers win 118-107.
