In Friday night NBA action, the Brooklyn Nets will invade the Amway Center to battle the Orlando Magic.
The Nets have won consecutive games and are currently tied with Detroit for sixth place in the Eastern Conference standings. On Wednesday, Spencer Dinwiddie scored 25 of his 33 points in the fourth quarter and overtime of a wild 145-142 victory at Houston. The teams combined to attempt 106 three-pointers and the Nets shot 52 percent overall.
DeMarre Carroll scored 22 points and added five rebounds in 35 minutes off the Brooklyn bench. Jarrett Allen contributed 20 points and 24 rebounds for the Nets.
The Orlando Magic are a game above .500 at home this season and are currently 1.5 games behind Charlotte for the final playoff spot in the East. On Wednesday, Orlando managed just six points during the overtime period of a 120-115 loss at Detroit. The Magic were outrebounded by a 59-47 margin and shot 50 percent from the field.
All five Orlando starters scored in double figures and were led by Nikola Vucevic with 24 points. Evan Fournier added 18 points and five assists in a losing effort for the Magic.
