Nets at 76ers 4/15/19 - NBA Playoffs Picks & Predictions

A Monday night NBA on TNT playoff doubleheader will tip-off with a matchup between the Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers from the Wells Fargo Center. In the series opener, Brooklyn raced out to a nine-point lead after one quarter and never trailed the rest of the way en route to a 111-102 road victory. The Nets converted 24 of their 26 free-throw attempts and shot 43 percent from the field.

All-Star G D’Angelo Russell led six Brooklyn players in double figures with 26 points on 10-for-25 shooting. Caris Levert contributed 23 points in 23 minutes off the bench for the Nets. The Philadelphia 76ers won 31 of their 41 home games during the regular season, but will now have to win at least one game on the road this series to advance to the Eastern Conference semifinals. Philadelphia missed 22 of their 25 three-point attempts and shot 41 percent overall. The 76ers were unable to get out in transition and finished with just four fast break points.

Philadelphia G/F poured in a game high 36 points on 11-for-22 shooting and grabbed nine rebounds. Joel Embiid added 22 points and 15 rebounds in a losing effort for the 76ers.

Brooklyn G Allen Crabbe had arthroscopic knee surgery and is unlikely to return this postseason. The 76ers are the better offensive team, but had an off shooting night in the opener. Look for Philadelphia to even this best-of-seven series with a win and cover on Monday. Final Score Prediction, Philadelphia 76ers win and cover ATS 118-107.
