The 2019 NBA Playoffs will tip-off with a matchup between the Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers from the Wells Fargo Center.

The sixth-seeded Nets won three straight games to close out the regular season and clinched their first playoff berth in four years. All-Star G D’Angelo Russell put together a career year, averaging 21.1 points and 7.0 assists per game.

On Wednesday, Brooklyn built a 16-point halftime lead and cruised to a 113-94 home victory versus Miami. The Nets out rebounded the Heat by a 74-63 margin and connected on 21-for-58 from the three-point line. The Philadelphia 76ers won 31 of their 41 home games during the regular season and ranked fourth in the league in scoring at 115.2 points per game. The 76ers added G/F Jimmy Butler and F Tobias Harris by trades and have arguably the most talented starting five in the league. All-Star C Joel Embiid is a dominant force inside and averaged a team best 27.5 points.

Last time out, Philadelphia dominated through the first three quarters of a 125-109 home victory versus Chicago. The 76ers led by 37 points entering the fourth quarter and shot 56 percent overall.

Philadelphia GM Elton Brand said that he is optimistic that C Joel Embiid (knee) will play in the series opener.
