Nets at 76ers 2/20/20 - NBA Picks & Predictions

Last Updated: 02/19/2020 at 9:47 PM ET

In the first game of a Thursday night NBA on TNT doubleheader, the Brooklyn Nets will visit the Philadelphia 76ers. The Nets (25-28) have won seven of their previous ten games and lead Orlando by two games for seventh place in the Eastern Conference standings. Last time out, Brooklyn snapped Toronto’s 15-game winning streak with a 101-91 home victory.

Caris Levert led five Brooklyn players in double figures with 20 points on a 10-for-20 shooting effort. Spencer Dinwiddie chipped in 17 points, nine assists, and six rebounds for the Nets.

The Philadelphia 76ers have won a league-best 25 of their 27 home games and trail Miami by 1.5 games for fourth place in the East. Last Tuesday, Philadelphia pulled away midway through the fourth quarter to earn a 110-103 home victory versus Los Angeles. The 76ers (34-21) outrebounded the Clippers by a 60-52 margin and shot 46 percent from the field.

All-Star G Ben Simmons led the way for Philadelphia with 26 points to go along with 12 rebounds and ten assists. Josh Richardson chipped in 21 points and five rebounds for the 76ers.

Brooklyn G Kyrie Irving aggravated his right shoulder injury and will not play in this contest. These two teams rank in the top ten in the league in defensive efficiency, so my lean on the total is the under. The stronger play is on Philadelphia to cover at home. Final Score Prediction, Philadelphia 76ers win and cover ATS 114-102.
