Nets at 76ers 1/15/20 - NBA Picks & Predictions

In the first game of a Wednesday night NBA on ESPN doubleheader, the Brooklyn Nets will visit the Philadelphia 76ers. This will be the second of a back-to-back for Brooklyn, who trailed by 14 points at halftime of last night’s 118-107 home loss versus Utah. The Nets (18-21) missed 18 of their 26 three-point attempts and shot 50 percent overall.

Brooklyn G Kyrie Irving poured in a game-high 32 points on 12-for-19 shooting and dished out 11 assists. Spencer Dinwiddie added 17 points and five assists for the Nets.

The Philadelphia 76ers have won 18 of their first 20 home games, but have lost six of their last ten games overall. On Monday, Philadelphia was outscored by 15 points during the second half of a 101-95 road loss against Indiana. The 76ers (25-16) missed 27 of their 33 three-point attempts and shot just 42 percent overall.

All-Star G Ben Simmons tallied a team-high 24 points on 10-for-17 shooting and grabbed 14 rebounds. Tobias Harris added 15 points and 11 rebounds for the 76ers.

Philadelphia C Joel Embiid (hand) had successful surgery and will be re-evaluated in 1-2 weeks. These two teams rank in the top ten in defensive efficiency, so the under is worth a look. The stronger play is on Philadelphia to win and cover at home. Final Score Prediction, Philadelphia 76ers win 114-103.
