Carter has averaged 15.1 points and 8.8 rebounds a game this season. Through two games in February, he’s had 14.5 ppg and 12.5 rpg after averaging 14.1 ppg and 8.9 rpg in January.
Carter has had 23 or more combined points/rebounds in nine of his last 16 games including four of his last seven. He had a double-double against the Knicks on Oct. 24, finishing with 17 points and 11 rebounds.
New York is a solid defensive squad, allowing 112.7 points per game this season to rank 12th in the league. The Knicks have slipped to 19th, however, over the last 15 games by allowing 116.3 ppg during that stretch.
