NBA Preseason - Tuesday 10/4/22 - NBA Picks & Predictions

As the NBA preseason continues to roll on Tuesday brings a mediocre day of four games on the board. The day will be full of teams looking to mesh new rosters and new pieces together heading into the 2022-2023 regular season.

Detroit Pistons at New York Knicks

Both teams come into the 2022-2023 season with high expectations as each will look to grow young rosters. The New York Knicks are the better overall team in this matchup as they have the core from a playoff team from a year ago. New York will do enough on their home floor to overwhelm a young Detroit team leading to their first win of the preseason.

Minnesota Timberwolves at Miami Heat

The Minnesota Timberwolves has a new roster this season after making several moves this summer. Minnesota will take time to mesh their new team as Miami will look to pick up where they left off a year ago. Miami still has much of their core from a year ago and with NBA Finals aspirations Miami will start the NBA preseason with a home win Tuesday night.

New Orleans Pelicans at Chicago Bulls

Both teams have high expectations this year as each team is healthier and stronger than a year ago. New Orleans will welcome back Zion Williamson this season as he should make an immediate impact for their team. Chicago is still without Lonzo Ball and New Orleans will take advantage with a young hungry roster looking to turn a new leaf this season.

Utah Jazz Portland Trail Blazers

The Utah Jazz is a completely new team than that of a year ago after trading away their two stars this summer. Utah will struggle in the preseason and during the start of the year as they figure out the new roles of their new players. Portland will lean on their superstar and core lineup to get a home preseason win on Tuesday.
