NBA MVP Odds 2022/2023

With the NBA season just around the corner a handful of players have emerged as the most likely to take home the MVP award. One clear cut favorite leads the pack with several other former MVPS in the conversation to take home the most prestigious award in basketball.

Luka Doncic 

Luka Doncic has been one of the most dominating players in the NBA for his entire career thus far. Despite a mediocre start till last season Doncic turn things on midway through and erupted leading to an ALL-NBA 1stteam membership. Luka will continue his rise to stardom this season as he leads the Dallas Mavericks back to the playoffs as the best player on their roster.

Joel Embiid

After having perhaps his best season of his young NBA career last year Joel Embiid comes into the 2022-2023 season as an MVP favorite. After leading the league in scoring last year Embiid narrowly missed out on his first MVP season. With a repeat of last year’s success combined with several new pieces to the roster Embiid could be a longshot favorite to win the award.

Giannis Antetokounmpo

The Greek Freak will again be one of the favorites to win the MVP this season as he is perhaps the best player in the entire Eastern Conference. After winning the MVP twice in his career Giannis continues to put up outlandish numbers in Milwaukee. Giannis has a real shot to win another MVP this season if he can lead the Milwaukee Bucks to a number one seed.

Kevin Durant 

Kevin Durant made headlines all summer after attempting to force his way out of Brooklyn. Now with the new pieces on the Brooklyn roster and the return of Kyrie Irving KD will again be a Net this season. Kevin Durant is perhaps the best scorer in the entire NBA and has a chance to put things together this season leading to his second career MVP.

Nikola Jokic 

Nikola Jokic has been the best player in the NBA the past two seasons as he comes into this year as the reigning two time defending MVP. Jokic will welcome back Michael Porter Jr. and Jamal Murray to the Denver roster this season as the Nuggets look to turn the page towards a championship. With the additions back to the Nuggets roster Jokic will not be leaned upon as heavily as years past. If Jokic can put up similar numbers from the past two seasons a third straight MVP could be in his future.
