Meanwhile, the Charlotte Hornets are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games. In those 5 games, the Hornets have covered against Utah, San Antonio, Milwaukee, Toronto and New York. Although they are just 2-3 in that 5-game span, it does include a victory over the Raptors. With as well as the Hornets have played as late and the absence of Russell Westbrook, it’s easy to see Charlotte covering in this one.
Utah Jazz -8.5
It’s no secret that the Utah Jazz have sputtered as of late, going 6-4 in their last 10 games and 4-6 ATS, but on Saturday they get what every team that is struggling hopes for, a game against the shorthanded Detroit Pistons. The Pistons will be without key players Derrick Rose and Blake Griffin as both are out indefinitely. Detroit is 1-9 in their last 10 games but is 6-4 ATS in that span. The last time these two teams met earlier this season, Utah came away with a 104-81 victory in a game played at Utah wtih the Jazz were favored by -9.5. Look for more of the same on Saturday as the Jazz are set up to dominate in this one.
Portland Trail Blazers -4
The Portland Trail Blazers enter Saturday’s game with a record of 4-6 in their last 10 games and are 4-6 ATS while the Sacramento Kings are 6-4 in their last 10 games and 6-4 ATS in that span. In the last 3 meetings between these two teams, the Trail Blazers have a record of 2-1 and are also 2-1 ATS. In their last game against the Kings, the Trail Blazers came away with a 127-116 victory after being a -5 ATS. With the Kings missing Marvin Bagley III and Richaun Holmes listed as questionable, look for the Trail Blazers to take advantage in this one and cover the spread.
