NBA 2020 Rankings - NBA’s Top Player at Each Position

Since the 2019-2020 NBA season is currently suspended because of the covid-19 outbreak, it is a good time to look over the top players at each position. The five positions that will be covered in this article will be the point guard, shooting guard, power forward, shooting forward and center.

The court general on any NBA team is normally the point guard due to handling the ball the most and running the offense. The current number one player at point guard in the NBA is Stephen Curry with the Golden State Warriors. Curry has suffered through an injury field season prior to the season being suspended on March 12th and is averaging 20.8 points, 5.2 rebounds and 6.6 assists per game. Curry has helped lead the Warriors to three NBA titles. Close behind: Kyrie Irving, Russell Westbrook

Although LeBron James has played the power forward position at times during his career, the top player at that position currently in the NBA is Anthony Davis. The Los Angeles Lakers star has a keen ability to not only score and rebound but has excellent passing skills and is as dangerous scoring as he is handing off to an open teammate. Davis is leading the Lakers in scoring and rebounding with averages of 26.7 points and 9.4 rebounds per game and his wingspan helps the Lakers star to be one of the better shot blockers at the defensive end. Although Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid has had an up-and-down season due to injuries, the Sixers star is the best center in the NBA.
