The Mystics beat the Las Vegas Aces on Tuesday 75-70. Elena Delle Donne led the Mystics with 23 points and 11 rebounds, while Tianna Hawkins scored 17. Natasha Cloud led Washington with 5 assists. Ariel Atkins added 15 points in the win for the Mystics.
Indiana fell to 0-3 after losing to Los Angeles on Tuesday 87-70. In the loss, Kelsey Mitchell led the Fever with 20 points while Tiffany Mitchell chipped in with 14. Natalie Achonwa, who scored a career high 21 points on Sunday for the Fever, was held to just six points in Tuesday’s loss, but did pull down eight rebounds.
Elena Delle Donne leads the Mystics in scoring, rebounding and is tied for first in assists averaging 18.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game. Three other Mystics’ players average double-figures in scoring led by Kristi Toliver who is averaging 12.0 points per game. Ariel Atkins is shooting 57.1% from the field and 50% from 3-point territory to lead the team.
Kelsey Mitchell is leading the Fever in scoring averaging 13.7 points per game. Natalie Achonwa is the third leading scorer and leading rebounding averaging 10.3 points and 8.7 rebounds per game. Candice Dupree is the second leading scorer and second leading rebounder averaging 11.0 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. Erica Wheeler leads the Fever in assists averaging 3.3 per game. Achonwa is shooting 52.6% from the field to lead the team.
