Minnesota Timberwolves at Phoenix Suns 11/1/22 - NBA Picks & Predictions

In the second game of a Tuesday night NBA on TNT doubleheader, the Minnesota Timberwolves will visit the Phoenix Suns. The Timberwolves (4-3) mortgaged their future to acquire C Rudy Gobert in an offseason trade with Utah and rank fifth in the league in defensive efficiency. On Sunday, Minnesota trailed by ten points at halftime and could not recover during a 107-98 road loss against San Antonio.

All-Star F/C Karl-Anthony Towns led all scorers with 26 points on 11-for-19 shooting and grabbed 11 rebounds. Anthony Edwards added 18 points and six assists for the Timberwolves, who missed 25-for-29 from the three-point line.

The Phoenix Suns are riding a four-game winning streak and have a bitter taste in their mouth from their playoff exit against Dallas. On Sunday, Phoenix outscored Houston by 11 points during the fourth quarter to pull away for a 124-109 home victory. The Suns (5-1) assisted on 29 of their 45 made field goals and shot 54 percent overall.

All-Star G Devin Booker tallied a game-high 30 points on 14-for-24 from the field and dished out six assists. Cameron Johnson contributed 19 points and seven rebounds for the Suns, who were outrebounded by a 49-36 margin.

Phoenix C Deandre Ayton suffered a sprained ankle on Friday and will not play in this game. These two teams rank in the top five in defensive efficiency and the Suns play at the fourth slowest tempo. Take the Timberwolves to steal one on the road. Final Score Prediction, Minnesota Timberwolves win 115-110.
