Up and coming Western Conference foes will clash on Thursday night, when the Minnesota Timberwolves visit the Memphis Grizzlies. The Timberwolves (20-21) have split their last ten games and trail LA by a half-game for eighth place in the conference standings. On Tuesday, Minnesota allowed New Orleans to shoot 55 percent from the field during a 128-125 road loss.

Second-year pro Anthony Edwards tallied a team-high 28 points on 10-for-21 shooting and dished out five assists. Karl-Anthony Towns added 26 points and eight rebounds for the Timberwolves.

The Memphis Grizzlies are riding a ten-game winning streak and have surged into a tie with Utah for third place in the conference. On Tuesday, Memphis outscored Golden State by 11 points during the fourth quarter of a 116-108 home victory. The Grizzlies (29-14) assisted on 30 of their 44 made field goals and knocked down 14-for-34 from the three-point line.

Memphis G Ja Morant led all scorers with 29 points to go along with eight assists and five rebounds. Tyus Jones contributed 17 points and eight assists off the bench for the Grizzlies.
