In the second game of a Thursday night NBA on TNT doubleheader, the Minnesota Timberwolves will invade the Chase Center to take on the Golden State Warriors. The Timberwolves (24-23) have won seven of their last ten games and trail Denver by 1.5 games for sixth place in the West. On Tuesday, Minnesota erased an eight-point halftime deficit to earn a 109-107 road victory against Portland.

Second-year pro Anthony Edwards led all scorers with 40 points on 14-for-27 shooting and grabbed nine rebounds. Karl-Anthony Towns contributed 17 points and 17 rebounds for the Timberwolves.

The Golden State Warriors have won 22 of their first 26 home games and trail Phoenix by three games for the best overall record in the league. On Tuesday, Golden State outscored Dallas by 26 points during the second half of a 130-92 home victory. The Warriors (35-13) dominated the Mavericks on the glass by a 58-38 margin and shot 53 percent from the field.

Rookie F Jonathan Kuminga led seven Golden State players in double figures with 22 points and five rebounds. Steph Curry added 18 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists for the Warriors.
