In Sunday afternoon NBA action, the Minnesota Timberwolves will travel to TD Garden to battle the Boston Celtics. The Timberwolves (43-32) have won seven of their last ten games and trail Denver by a half-game for sixth place in the West. On Friday, Minnesota shot 51 percent from the field during a 116-95 home victory versus Dallas. 

All five Minnesota starters scored in double figures and were led by Karl-Anthony Towns with 20 points. D’Angelo Russell chipped in 15 points and eight assists for the Timberwolves.

The Boston Celtics are riding a five-game winning streak and trail Miami by one full game for the top spot in the Eastern Conference. On Wednesday, Boston raced out to a 15-point lead after one quarter and cruised to a 125-97 home victory versus Utah. The Celtics (46-28) connected on 19-for-36 from long range and shot a sizzling 60 percent overall.

Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown scored 26 points apiece to lead Boston on a combined 19-for-32 from the field. Robert Williams III added 12 points, ten rebounds, and four blocks for the Celtics.
