The Minnesota Timberwolves have won nine of their last ten games and trail Denver by 1.5 games for sixth place in the Western Conference standings. The Timberwolves (41-30) outrebounded the Lakers by a 51-38 margin and limited them to 41 percent from the field.

Minnesota C Karl-Anthony Towns converted 13-for-13 from the charity stripe and finished with a game-high 30 points. Anthony Edwards added 27 points and six rebounds for the Timberwolves.
