Miami Heat vs Boston Celtics 9/17/20 - NBA Picks & Predictions

Game Two of the Eastern Conference Finals will take place on Thursday night, when the Miami Heat square off against the Boston Celtics. In the series opener, fifth seeded Miami stormed back from a 14-point fourth quarter deficit to score a shocking 117-114 overtime victory. The Heat outrebounded the Celtics by a 55-48 margin and knocked down 16-for-36 from the three-point line.

Goran Dragic led five Miami players in double figures with 29 points on an 11-for-19 shooting performance. Bam Adebayo contributed 18 points, nine rebounds, and six assists for the Heat.

The Boston Celtics controlled much of the game on Tuesday and will have to regroup in a hurry against a talented Miami squad. In Game One, Boston assisted on 24 of their 39 made field goals and shot 44 percent overall. The Celtics converted 21 of their 23 free throw attempts and shot 15-for-42 from long distance.

All-Star F Jayson Tatum led all scorers with 30 points to go along with 14 rebounds and five assists. Marcus Smart added 26 points on 9-for-18 from the field in a losing effort for the Celtics.

Boston G/F Gordon Hayward (ankle) was ruled out of Game One and hopes to play at some point in this series. The Celtics led for most of the series opener with Kemba Walker shooting an uncharacteristic 6-for-19 from the field. Take Boston to even the series with a win on Thursday.
