Miami Heat at LA Lakers 10/2/20 - NBA Picks & Predictions

The 2020 NBA Finals continue on Friday night, when the Miami Heat and the Los Angeles Lakers battle from the Walt Disney World Resort. On Wednesday, Miami led by 13 points in the first quarter and were unable to remain competitive the rest of the way during a 116-98 loss. The Heat missed 24 of their 35 three-point attempts and shot just 43 percent overall.

Miami G/F Jimmy Butler tallied a team high 23 points on 8-for-13 shooting and dished out five assists. The rest of the Heat starters combined for just 26 points on 9-for-25 from the field.

The Los Angeles Lakers entered the NBA Finals as the prohibitive favorite and looked every bit the part in Game One. Los Angeles built a 17 point halftime lead and dominated Miami on the glass by a 62-40 margin. The Lakers connected on a franchise postseason record 15 three-pointers on 38 attempts and assisted on 26 of their 38 made field goals.

Los Angeles F Anthony Davis made an impressive NBA Finals debut and finished with a game-high 34 points on 11-for-21 shooting. LeBron James contributed 25 points, 13 rebounds, and nine assists for the Lakers.

Miami G Goran Dragic suffered a torn plantar fascia on Wednesday and is unlikely to play in this contest. Miami C Bam Adebayo (shoulder) and G/F Jimmy Butler (ankle) are both considered questionable. The Lakers were on fire from long distance and Game One still stayed under the total. Take the under to cash again on Friday. Final Score Prediction, Los Angeles Lakers win but like the under best 109-101.
