Miami Heat at Atlanta Hawks 4/24/22 - NBA Picks & Predictions

Last Updated: 04/23/2022 at 1:57 PM ET

In Sunday night NBA playoff action, the Miami Heat will battle the Atlanta Hawks from State Farm Arena. The top-seeded Heat (53-29) took the first two games of this best-of-seven series at home and finished seven games above .500 on the road during the regular season. On Friday, Miami blew a 16-point second half lead during a 111-110 road loss against Atlanta.

Tyler Herro tallied a team-high 24 points (10-22 FG) and seven rebounds in 34 minutes off the Miami bench. Jimmy Butler and Max Strus added 20 points apiece for the Heat.

The Atlanta Hawks reached the Eastern Conference Finals last season and will not go away easily in this series. In Game Three, Atlanta G Trae Young nailed a floater with less than five seconds remaining to cap an improbable fourth quarter rally. The Hawks (43-39) knocked down 12-for-32 from long distance and shot 51 percent overall.

All-Star G Trae Young led six Atlanta players in double figures with 24 points and eight assists. Bogdan Bogdanovic contributed 18 points, eight rebounds, and six assists off the bench for the Hawks.

Miami G Kyle Lowry suffered a lower left leg injury in Friday’s loss and his status for this game is uncertain. The Hawks ran first in the league in offensive efficiency, so my lean on the total is the over. The stronger play is on Atlanta to even the series with a home victory. Final Score Prediction, Atlanta Hawks win 115-109.
