The Phoenix Mercury look for their third straight victory on Tuesday when they visit Sin City to play the Western Conference leading Las Vegas Aces. The Mercury defeated the New York Liberty on Sunday 78-72. Phoenix played without leading scorer Brittney Griner, but DeWanna Bonner came up big with 30 points and 10 boards as Phoenix rallied in the fourth to win by six.

Las Vegas welcomed back A’ja Wilson and won its third straight in the process by defeating the Chicago Sky on Sunday 100-85. A’ja Wilson came off the bench to score 25 points while teammate Liz Cambage scored 23 and grabbed 10 boards. Las Vegas leads the Western Conference by two games over the Los Angeles Sparks.
Brittney Griner is the leading scorer and second in rebounding for Phoenix with averages of 19.4 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. DeWanna Bonner is second in scoring and leading in rebounding with averages of 18.8 points and 7.7 rebounds per game. Leilani Mitchell leads in assists with an average of 4.1 per game.

Liz Cambage is leading in scoring and rebounding with averages of 16.1 points and 8.3 rebounds per game for the Aces. A’ja Wilson is the second leading scorer and second leading rebounder for Las Vegas with averages of 15.9 points and 6.6 rebounds per game. Jackie Young leads the Aces in assists with an average of 4.2 per game.

A’ja Wilson has returned from an ankle and let her presence be felt with 25 points off the bench in the Aces win on Sunday. The duo of Wilson and Liz Cambage scored 48 points and will take on the tough duo of Brittney Griner and DeWanna Bonner from the Mercury.
