Memphis Grizzlies at San Antonio Spurs 11/9/22 - NBA Picks & Predictions

The Memphis Grizzlies will travel on the road to the state of Texas to face off against the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday after an entire day of NBA action not being played on Tuesday. This game will have a scheduled tip off of 8:00 PM Eastern Time and will be available on NBA full court. Memphis comes into this game with a record on the season of 7-4, and have won their last three consecutive games coming against the Portland Trail Blazers on the road, the Charlotte Hornets, and most recently against the Washington Wizards by the score of 103-97. Two defeats both came against the Utah Jazz on the road won by the score of 124-123, the other by the score of 121-105.

The San Antonio Spurs come into this matchup with a regular season record of 5-6, and have not played well as of late losing three out of their last five including their last three consecutive losses against the Toronto Raptors, Los Angeles Clippers, and most recently on the road against the Denver Nuggets by the score of 126-101. The previous two games for the San Antonio Spurs were both victories against the Chicago Bulls by the score of 129-124, and against the Minnesota Timberwolves at home by the score of 107-98.

The Memphis Grizzlies are led by Ja Morant, who is averaging 28.3 points per game so far this season with a field goal percentage of 48.3%, and a free throw percentage of 83.8%. Steven Adams is the Memphis Grizzlies team leader in rebounds per game averaging 11 on the boards with 6.3 coming on defense. Morant is also the Memphis team leader in assists per game averaging 6.9 from the point guard position, and is averaging 31.8 minutes per game.

Keldon Johnson is the San Antonio Spurs team leader in points per game averaging 23.1 on the season so far to go along with a field goal percentage of 45.5%, and a free throw percentage of 78.6%. Jakob Poeltl, is the San Antonio Spurs team leader in rebounds per game averaging 10.1 on the season. Trey Jones is the San Antonio team leader in assists per game averaging 5.7, and is also the team leader in minutes per game averaging 29.5 on the short season.

Recently on the Dan Patrick show, Patrick challenged his colleagues to name more than one player on the San Antonio Spurs roster, none of which can do so. San Antonio is built to lose this season for a high draft pick and the fact that they are 5-6 on the season so far is a huge surprise, hence the names of the team leaders on the stat sheets. Even with leading rebounder Steven Adams out for this matchup on the road, we see the Memphis Grizzlies extending their winning streak to four games with a victory in San Antonio. Final Score Prediction: The Memphis Grizzlies win easily by the score of 120-96.
