In Sunday afternoon NBA action, the Memphis Grizzlies will invade the Toyota Center to take on the Houston Rockets. The Grizzlies (48-23) have won 24 of their 37 road games and hold a half-game lead over Golden State for second place in the West. On Friday, Memphis trailed by 19 points at halftime and could never recover during a 120-105 road loss against Atlanta.
All-Star G Ja Morant led Memphis with 29 points on 11-for-23 shooting and handed out four assists. Jaren Jackson Jr. and Desmond Bane added 15 points apiece for the Grizzlies.
The Houston Rockets have lost four straight games and own the worst overall record in the league. On Friday, Houston was outscored by 15 points during the fourth quarter of a 121-118 home loss versus Indiana. The Rockets (17-53) connected on 12-for-27 from the three-point line and shot 49 percent overall in defeat.
Houston C Christian Wood led all scorers with 32 points to go along with 13 rebounds and seven assists. Rookie G Jalen Green added 20 points and six assists for the Rockets.
