Manhattan at Iona 2/12/21 - College Basketball Picks & Predictions

In Friday evening college basketball action, the Manhattan Jaspers will invade the Hynes Athletics Center to take on the Iona Gaels. The Jaspers (5-8) have dropped eight of their 12 MAAC Conference games and rank near the bottom of the nation in scoring (61.9 ppg). On Saturday, Manhattan turned the ball over 20 times during a 71-69 overtime loss versus Monmouth.

Manhattan F Warren Williams led all scorers with 20 points on 7-for-9 shooting and grabbed nine rebounds. Elijah Buchanan added 16 points and nine rebounds for the Jaspers.

The Iona Gaels have won three of their first four conference games and have seen numerous postponements due to COVID-19 protocols. Last time out, Iona outscored visiting Coppin State by 15 points during the second half of an 85-65 victory. The Gaels (5-3) dominated the Eagles on the glass by a 51-25 margin and knocked down 11-for-32 from the three-point line.

Iona G Isaiah Ross poured in a game-high 28 points on 11-for-24 shooting and pulled down six boards. Asante Gist contributed 24 points and five assists for the Gaels.
