Magic at Raptors 4/16/19 - NBA Picks & Predictions

In the first game of a Tuesday night NBA on TNT playoff doubleheader, the Orlando Magic and Toronto Raptors will square off from Scotiabank Arena.

On Saturday, G D.J. Augustin nailed a three-pointer with 3.5 seconds remaining to lift Orlando to a stunning 104-101 victory. The Magic connected on 14-for-29 from long distance and missed just two of their 20 free throw attempts.

All five Orlando starters scored in double figures and were led by D.J. Augustin with 25 points on 9-for-13 shooting. Aaron Gordon chipped in ten points and ten rebounds for the Magic. The Toronto Raptors won 32 of their 41 home games during the regular season and now will have to win at least once on the road in this series to advance. In Game One, Toronto erased an eight-point halftime deficit but was unable to make the plays down the stretch. The Raptors assisted on 23 of their 40 made field goals and shot 46 percent overall.

All-Star F Kawhi Leonard matched a game high with 25 points on a 10-for-18 shooting performance. Pascal Siakam added 24 points and nine rebounds in a losing effort for the Raptors.

Toronto F OG Anunoby had emergency surgery to address acute appendicitis and could be out through the Eastern Conference Finals. These two teams rank in the top eight in defensive efficiency and the series opener stayed under the total. Look for the under to hit once again in Game Two. Final Score Prediction, Toronto Raptors win but our top play is the under 106-97.
