In the first game of a Wednesday night NBA on ESPN doubleheader, the Orlando Magic will invade the Spectrum Center to face the Charlotte Hornets.

The Magic have won three straight games and have clinched their first playoff berth in seven years. Last time out, Orlando outscored Boston by 12 points in the second half to rally for a 116-108 road victory. The Magic out rebounded the Celtics by a 53-45 margin and shot 46 percent from the field.

Terrence Ross led all scorers with 26 points on 6-for-13 shooting in 26 minutes off the Orlando bench. All-Star C Nikola Vucevic contributed 25 points and 12 rebounds for the Magic.
The Charlotte Hornets have won four straight games and trail Detroit by one full game in the race for the final playoff spot in the East. Last night, Charlotte outscored Cleveland by 19 points in the second half to pull away for a 124-97 road triumph. The Hornets connected on 22-for-44 from long distance and shot 58 percent overall.

All-Star Point Guard Kemba Walker led a balanced Charlotte scoring attack with 23 points and seven assists. Dwayne Bacon chipped in 18 points on 7-for-11 from the field for the Hornets.

Charlotte C Cody Zeller (left knee soreness) and F Marvin Williams (foot) are not expected to play in this contest. The Hornets need a win and a Detroit loss to snatch the eighth seed in the playoffs. Take Charlotte to do their part with a win and cover in the regular season finale.
