In Saturday night NBA action, the Los Angeles Lakers will travel to the nation’s capital to take on the Washington Wizards. This will be the second of a back-to-back on the road for Los Angeles, who needed overtime to earn a 128-123 victory against Toronto last night. The Lakers (30-40) connected on 19-for-43 from the three-point line and shot 49 percent overall.
Los Angeles F LeBron James poured in a game-high 36 points to go along with nine rebounds and seven assists. Russell Westbrook contributed 22 points, ten rebounds, and ten assists for the Lakers.
The Washington Wizards are looking to snap a six-game losing streak and are quickly falling out of playoff contention. Last night, Washington was outscored by 13 points during the second quarter and never led during the second half of a 100-97 road loss against New York. The Wizards (29-40) were dominated on the glass by a 60-38 margin and limited the Knocks to 34 percent shooting.
Kyle Kuzma and Kristaps Porzingis led Washington with 18 points apiece on a combined 11-for-27 from the field. Raul Neto added 11 points and four assists for the Wizards.
