On Friday, the New York Liberty looks to snap a six-game losing streak when the visit the Dallas Wings. The Liberty lost on Tuesday night to the Minnesota Lynx 89-73 in their most recent outing. Rebecca Allen led a Liberty run in the second quarter to battle back within two points at the half after trailing 40-29, but New York ran out of gas in the second half to fall by 15. Dallas won its second straight on Wednesday after defeating the Los Angeles Sparks at home 84-78. Arike Ogunbowale led the Wings with 35 points to establish a new single-game high for the rookie. Glory Johnson scored 20 and the short-handed Wings snapped the Sparks 5-game winning streak. Tina Charles is leading New York in scoring and rebounding with averages of 17.0 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. Kia Nurse is second in scoring with an average of 14.0 points per game. Brittany Boyd is the assists leader with an average of 5.0 per game. Just Charles and Nurse are averaging double figures in scoring for the Liberty.

Arike Ogunbowale is the leading scorer for Dallas with an average of 16.1 points per game. Kayla Thornton is the leading rebounder with an average of 5.7 per game, while the leader in assists is Allisha Gray with an average of 2.7 per game. Thornton is the only other player for Dallas averaging double figures in scoring at 10.7 points per game.
