Liberty at Mystics 8/25/19 - WNBA Picks & Predictions

The New York Liberty are off to the nation’s capital on Sunday looking to bounce back from a loss when they visit the Washington Mystics. The Liberty lost on Friday night to the Atlanta Dream 90-87. Bria Hartley led the Liberty in the loss with 17 points, while Kia Nurse added 15. New York held the lead at the half, but were outscored by 11 points in the third quarter and could not bounce back.

Washington had its six-game winning streak snapped by Chicago on Friday 85-78. The Mystics fell into a first-place tie with the Connecticut Sun after the loss with identical records of 20-8. Elena Delle Donne led the Mystics in the loss with 16 points. Kristi Toliver did not play and has now missed five straight for the Mystics due to an injury. 

Tina Charles is leading New York in scoring and rebounding with averages of 17.7 points and 7.9 rebounds per game. Kia Nurse is second in scoring with an average of 14.2 points per game. Brittany Boyd is the assists leader with an average of 4.7 per game. Three players are averaging double figures in scoring for the Liberty.

Elena Della Donne is the leading scorer and rebounder for the Mystics with averages of 18.8 points and 8.2 rebounds per game. Kristi Toliver is the leader in assists with an average 6.0 per game and the second leading scorer with an average of 13.0 points per game. In all, five players are averaging double-figures in scoring for the Mystics.
