In the final game before the NBA All-Star Break, the Los Angeles Lakers will travel to the Target Center to face the Minnesota Timberwolves. This will be the second of a back-to-back on the road for the Lakers, who provided little resistance during last night’s 139-117 loss against Minnesota. Los Angeles surrendered 46 points over the first 12 minutes and allowed the Pelicans to shoot 54 percent from the field for the game.

Rookie Kyle Kuzma tallied a team high 23 points on a 10-for-20 shooting performance. Julius Randle added 20 points and five rebounds for the Lakers, who are ten games below .500 overall. The Minnesota Timberwolves have won 23 of their 30 home games and that is tied for the best home record in the Western Conference. The Timberwolves are 10 games above .500 overall and just a half game behind San Antonio for third place in the conference standings. On Tuesday, Minnesota allowed 72 points during the second half of a 126-108 home loss versus Houston. The Timberwolves misfired on 17 of their 23 three-point attempts on the night.

Karl-Anthony Towns led all scorers with 35 points on 12-for-16 from the field and grabbed 12 rebounds. Jeff Teague added 25 points and eight assists in a losing effort for the Timberwolves.

Los Angeles rookie G Lonzo Ball (knee) says he is feeling alright but will not play again until after the All-Star Break. The Timberwolves rank 3rd in offensive efficiency and the Lakers rank near the bottom of the league in that category. Take Minnesota to win easily on Thursday. Final Score Prediction, Minnesota Timberwolves win and cover ATS 119-104.
